Hawaii - Day 6

We started off the day by going to church. The building was beautiful. All of the building was open to the outside. You walk out of the sacrament meeting room to a courtyard and then walk into your classroom. So fun. The picture of Scott and Bryson is them standing in front of the chapel.

After church (we only went to sacrament meeting because Bryson caught a beastly cold) we drove to the North Shores to see the temple. We stopped by the Dole Factory and walked around. Not very exciting, but free. Below is a picture of a pineapple field.

We drove through an old surfing town called Haleiwa. Has a place called Motsimoto's that has great shaved ice. Came back another day to get some. Then we drove to the temple. It was under construction so we only got to walk the grounds. But the grounds were beautiful and the visitor's center put together very nicely.

After the temple we drove to a beach and walked around. A seal decided to come up onto the beach right next to us. It was awesome to watch!

My parents are scuba certified. They have taken many a trips. There was one were they went swimming with sea lions. Mom said they were just like little puppies, just in water. Lots of fun, until it was time to go. The sea lions didn't want mom to go. On her attempt back on to the boat, one bit her on the bum. Not so fun, but he just wanted to play.
