Blake needed to have his tonsils and adenoids out because he snored like a beast; with some signs of sleep apnea. He also chocked on food often. After surgery the dr. told us that his adenoids were blocking 90% of his airway!!! Poor guy, no wonder why he was afraid to eat much more than yogurt!
Blake came out of surgery great. He wasn't crying or in a lot of pain. Instead he was just very sleepy. He slept and slept for hours. Then he woke up and started getting nauseous. They gave him medicine but he still threw up twice. It was just awful. Once he got all of the blood out of his stomach he felt better and then slept good throughout the night. (We stayed the night at the "overnight same day patient rooms". They are hardly rooms and they don't make them comfy at all. In fact everyone in the 8 "rooms" has to share a bathroom.) But at least they were able to keep an eye on Blake and give him IV fluids since he couldn't keep anything down.
